British White Cattle
From Triangle Deuce Ranch

How I Got Started With British Whites
By Jim White

I deliver mail to the people on the West Kootenai which is the area on the West side of the Koocanusa Reservoir up to the Canadian line and West of Eureka, Montana. I have raised cattle all my life and have been interested in the different breeds and their characteristics. When I noticed a white bull with black ears and nose show up on Mike Kruger's Ranch I was intrigued. I watched as his herd kept taking on more white color every year. One day when Mike was out at the mail box I was telling him about the eight Red Angus heifers I had just calved out and how I had to pull four out of the eight. He said he had just calved out thirty from his British White bull and didn't have to pull any of them.

Shortly after that I bought seven heifers and a bull from Mike and have since bought three more heifers. Now I look forward to the Spring with enthusiasm. It was a real pleasure calving out my first crop of purebred British White calves.

My goal is to eventually have a herd of registered, well marked, quality British White Cattle.

Sincerely,
James R. White
